Cosmodio Horoscope Sequenced Delay & Reverb Pedal

The Horoscope Echo Sequencer is a delay and reverb pedal that manipulates clock speeds to turn echoes into evolving rhythms and melodies. It begins with the technique of jumping delays to different time divisions to simultaneously shift delay time and pitch, and then expands that phenomenon into vast new musical spaces. Construct psychedelic pitch-shifting delay patterns, lush drifting ambient textures, or heavy industrial pulses. It’s a musical kaleidoscope that can reflect, expand, and compress sound. And underneath it all, a fully featured delay and reverb.

Horoscope draws from the world of electronic music and synthesis to incorporate quantized arpeggiation, sequencing, and accented glissandos. It taps into ancient tuning theories with scales as simple as pure octaves and perfect Pythagorean intervals, or as rich and microtonally subtle as just-intoned pentatonics and diatonics. Chance operations, stochastic behavior, and genetic mutation keep everything interactive and evolving. Most importantly it lets you apply all of these interwoven phenomena not only to a delay, but also to a diffuse ambient reverb.

CONTROL OVERVIEW:

Precise / Diffuse - Selects between the delay and reverb modes

Blend - Controls the mix from fully dry to fully wet

Feedback - The amount of delay repeats or reverb sustain

Time Div / Tone - In precise mode, sets the delay time as a division of the sequencer step rate. In diffuse mode sets the tone of the reverb, from dark to balanced to bright.

Constellation - The key to controlling clock speeds. Serves as both a coarse clock control and as a way to select interval clusters to build sequences.

Sequence - Selects the shape/length of the sequence. From arpeggios, to fixed length rhythms, to infinite randomness.

Step Rate - Sets the speed of the sequencer.

Drift - Controls the amount of pitch drift (warble and slides) or sequence drift (step mutations over time).

Preset - Save and recall 4 customizable presets, or revert to physical controls.

Bypass - Engages or disengages the effect.

Tap / Step - In manual mode this manually triggers sequence steps. In auto mode it can be used to tap tempo and control the sequencer step rate and base delay time.

Auto / Manual - Press BOTH footswitches simultaneously to switch between Auto Mode (sequencer running continuously) and Manual Mode (sequencer only moves when manually triggered).

M/S - Switch on the top of enclosure next to the input jack. “M” for mono inputs (mono or mono-to-stereo operation). “S” for stereo inputs (stereo operation).
