The Paul Reed Smith Silver Sky caused quite the uproar when first introduced, and it came as no surprised to see that the PRS SE version of the John Mayer signature model became a game changer when it was released, dominating the sub $1000 market for S-styled guitars.
The PRS SE Silver Sky starts with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with PRS trademark bird inlays. The 22-fret, 25.5” scale length neck features the original 635JM carve and an 8.5” fretboard radius, so the PRS SE Silver Sky will feel right at home for those familar with the Core model, or the vintage pieces from the early-mid 1960's from which the guitar drew its inspiration. Plug it in, and the three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups will quack, chime and soar. This guitar is anchored by a two-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners.
This model is in excellent shape with only minor evidence of play and minor surface scratches, and a slightly marred truss rod cover screw, as pictured. The guitar has been setup by our technician who was a Music Row Veteran and looks as good as it sounds! Includes original soft gig bag.
