This cut was particularly designed to suit the characteristics of the German system (Oehler) clarinet mouthpieces.

The Black Master reeds were designed for Austrian clarinet players.
They have a larger and thicker cut than the White Master reeds.

This cut was designed for very closed Austrian mouthpieces with a long facing.
