First launched in 1958, the Vox AC15 was the first of many amplifiers released by Jennings Musical Instruments that helped define the sound of the first British Invasion. From the Beatles, to Brian May of Queen, Tom Petty and Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers, to Matt Belamy of Muse and many more, Vox Amplifiers have established itself as one of the big three manufacturers of guitar amplifiers for the last 65 years.

The popularity of the AC15 lead to its smaller lower powered siblings, the AC4 and AC10.

The AC4HWR1 is part of the refresh of the Hand-Wired series of Vox Amplifiers. Vox redesigned the circuit, cabinet, and all-important transformers to help match the look, feel, circuit and sound of the originals.
